New multi-area for TSFC

In October 2020, Tønderhallerne inaugurated a new outdoor sports area with, among other things, paddle tennis court, street basketball court, beach volleyball court and multi-court with artificial grass. The area has got off to a great start with lots of activity. The paddle tennis court in particular is popular, and we just have to encourage you to gather a group of four and try out the sport.

Barrels are enriched with a new outdoor sports opportunity

Tønder Tennis Club has benefited from the new outdoor multi-area, where especially the paddle court has made new members flock despite both winter break and corona. The club has even changed its name to Tønder Padel- og Tennisklub as a characteristic of the great interest in padel.

Padel tennis is akin to tennis and badminton. The sport is ultra popular right now - partly because it combines action, fun and socializing. It is a great sport for players of all ages and with different skills as it is both quick and easy to learn. The paddle court can bring to mind sports such as squash, as it is a third the size of a tennis court and even has gangs. The sport is best played as a double, and the players are equipped with a special bat, which means that unlike tennis, the focus must be on strategy rather than strength.

Tønder Padel and Tennis Club expects that even more people will open their eyes to paddle and join the club after Easter, when the weather is better, and it is again possible to arrange events so that new interested parties can try out the sport.
